Our Story

How it all started...

In late 2015, the Suber family felt God leading them to start a new church in the Austin metro area. Jonathan and Stephanie had been in ministry for over 30 years, but they had never planted a church before.  At God’s leading, they were excited to expand His Kingdom in this community.

After seeking counsel and direction from their spiritual oversight, they announced that Oasis Church would launch in the Fall of 2016! They began to meet with people from all across the Austin metro, and their team began to form. We met in places like coffee shops, homes, and even the Round Rock Public Library as we continued to grow as a church.

On October 23rd, we launched Oasis Church in a historic church building in Round Rock. We were blown away by what God did on that first Sunday and how He has continued to grow Oasis.

Expanding the vision...

Since the start of Oasis in 2016, we have continually grown, adapted and pivoted to ensure that we are fulfilling the vision God has given us. This has included adding multiple Sunday services to accommodate Oasis's growth, partnering with local and global ministries through funding and volunteer support, pivoting to online-only services during the COVID-19 outbreak, and most recently, moving into a brand-new, larger building. Through it all, our heart remains the same - we’re not attached to a method, but fully committed to the message and mission God has given us. We will always adapt and change in order to do what God has called us to do.

Where we are headed...

Our desire is that God would continue to use Oasis to leave a generational impact on the Austin Metro and beyond. We believe that in a time when many are saying "the Church" is dying, that God is bringing fresh life and energy into churches like Oasis to expand the Kingdom of God even further.

We will continue to serve our city, see lives changed, marriages restored, people healed, families reunited, and so much more!
