What do Connect Groups look like?
Connect Groups are a small group of up to 15 people who get together for a laid back time to care for each other and build relationships centered around a common interest or activity while growing in their relationship with God.
Who can join a Connect Group?
Everyone is welcome.
How long does a typical Connect Group stay together?
Connect Groups meet for a "season." This way, new people can join Connect Groups easily and regularly. Also, the season format allows you to try multiple Connect Groups each year. As relationships form, some Connect Groups choose to stay together for consecutive seasons, but new members are always welcome.
Is there childcare available?
Childcare varies from Connect Group to Connect Group. Check with your Connect Group Leader to see if childcare is available.
What if I don't like the first Connect Group I try?
The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first Connect Group they try. There is no pressure to stay in one Connect Group; we simply want you connected to people you can grow with. If you don't like the Connect Group, tell us, and try another one!
What does it mean "to HOST" a Connect Group?
Perhaps you do not currently feel comfortable leading a Connect Group. However, you can still be a vital link in the success of the Oasis Church mission by being a Host for a Connect Group. What is a Host? A Host is someone that offers a place for a Connect Group to be held weekly during the term of a semester. There are some people that would love to lead a Connect Group, but they just do not have a place to host it. What a blessing you would be by providing your place/home for those people to be able to engage in fellowship and growing in the Word of God.
